This training module consists of four chapters with review activities, quizzes and a final section with writing exercises.
The goal of this training is to provide information and inspire facilitators interested in providing equine assisted activities for people living with mild cognitive impairment or early stage dementia and their care partners.
The Connected Horse workshops encourage everyone to be more aware of their senses, verbal and nonverbal communication, and impact on one another–including facilitators! Throughout your training, you will be asked reflection questions. Please keep a journal where you can track these Journal Exercises. Bring your journal to the on-site training as well. The first two exercises will help you start getting out of your head and into your senses.
