In any group, it is important to have shared agreements. Agreements are important because they set expectations and help embody the ethics, beliefs and behaviors of the program. Setting the agreements and ground rules as part of each opening circle gives participants a structure and expectation that frees them from worrying about how they act or respond.
Facilitators will create ground rules with the participants at the beginning of the workshops:
