Connected Horse facilitator training is offered at various barns and therapeutic equine centers throughout the country. The training program offers people interested in this work a unique opportunity to learn about facilitating equine assisted activities for people living with mild cognitive impairment or early stage dementia and their care partners. The curriculum is based on the Connected Horse research conducted in collocation with Stanford University and UC Davis, Alzheimer’s Disease Center and the School of Veterinary Center, Center for Equine Health.

From a basic knowledge of our principles and practices to an in-depth mastery level, our training program can help you build your skills as a Connected Horse facilitator.
Our facilitator offering provides you with the basics to get started facilitating Connected Horse workshops. You’ll learn the ins-and-outs of becoming a successful facilitator and be ready to participate in any Connected Horse workshop in the facilitator role.
If you want to further your understanding and hone your development of your Connected Horse facilitation skills so you can start to take the reins on managing workshops, this level is for you. You will learn valuable skills on how to adapt the program to your barn’s specific needs and how to manage the overall direction of facilitation throughout a whole workshop.
Ready to share your skills and earn some money as a paid trainer? This level will give you the skills and the confidence you need to help start a Connected Horse program at an approved barn. You will learn valuable coaching skills, what it takes to start the Connected Horse program from the ground-up and develop the knowledge base to be considered a subject matter expert on the Connected Horse program.
